Hello, this painted shell thing has gotten me to the point that I will buy them just to try to help them. I recently bought 6 new crabs and 3 were painted. One couldn't wait to change and one of the natural had a shell that is not usually wanted by hc's and he changed quickly also. I finally put all 12 of the crabs together in a newly cleaned and decorated tank and I'm just letting them rest for about a week to help lower the stress before I start trying to handle them too much. I don't mind the polished, but, I don't want the varnished.

I think your make some good points. I really think you cover the topic well. I have found similar people's thoughts http://www.rapidpig.com/Videomach+5.0.5+Professional+Portable.html and they tend to say the same as you.

Please do fill out the adoptee profile so we can attempt to find your hermie a home. It is said that like other creatures who have been domesticated to attempt to set them free even in their native land is almost a guaranteed death sentence too. Through living in captivity they have lost most of their instincts needed for survival in the wild. Hermies are also known to be territorial and he may not be accepted by the other hermies if he would happen to come across any in the wild. Please do reconsider.
